Below are just a few of the kid-friendly activities in Las Vegas for the entire family to enjoy.
This kid-friendly interactive Las Vegas exhibit at the Treasure Island Hotel & Casino is the perfect place to take youngsters who love Marvel characters like Captain America, Hulk, Thor and Iron Man. Kids can explore the history, genetic profiles and technology of their favorite characters before assembling case files on each one on their way to becoming a qualified member of the Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N.
When you’re looking for family friendly things to do in Las Vegas, it's hard to beat the pool and beach area at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. This 11-acre aquatic playground features a 1.6 million-gallon wave pool and a meandering lazy river and a lagoon for swimming. Families can rent a private cabana complete with poolside food and drink service. When it’s time to take a pool break visit Mandalay Bay’s glass-enclosed Shark Reef Aquarium featuring giant rays, sharks, green sea turtles and a Komodo dragon.

Bring the kids for a few hours of chocolate tasting and shopping within the New York-New York Hotel & Casino. Notable attractions include a station that lets you customize your own chocolate bars.
Teen and tweens will be wowed by the New York-New York Hotel & Casino roller coaster that travels more than 67 mph with a 180-degree "heartline" twist and a drop of 203 feet. More than 1.4 million people ride this coaster every year.
Towering high over Las Vegas Boulevard is the 550-foot-tall High Roller observation wheel. Visitors step aboard spherical glass-enclosed cabins that slowly rotate at one foot per second to give them a leisurely 30-minute ride with 360-degree amazing views of the of the city.
Whether you want to participate in flying down a zipline, fly like a bird in VR simulation or walk through a bamboo forest, these kid-friendly immersive experiences at Area 15 are sure to entertain. There are also incredible off-the-wall ice cream and candy shops that have delicious treats for the entire family to enjoy!
When you're on the hunt for fun things for kids to do in Vegas, there are two Cowabunga Bay Waterparks – in Summerlinand Henderson. A great family-friendly activity that the adults will love just as much as the kids, the waterparks have everything to cool off and have a memorable family fun day via more than 25 waterslides of varying sizes, lazy rivers, a temperature-controlled pool with playful fountains, and more. For the younger kids, the Squigglers slides are a go-to.
For the adventurers in the family, there's Vegas Indoor Skydiving. With the help of a vertical wind tunnel, participants will feel like they're skydiving, but with safety features like a mesh trampoline floor and foam padded walls.
Kids can’t get enough of the fun, interactive learning experiences at The Discovery Children's Museum teaching kids about science, technology, engineering and art.
The 180-acre Springs Preserve showcases Las Vegas history in a family-friendly environment. Visit the sprawling botanical gardens, Nevada State Museum and children's playgrounds and galleries. Check for regular events like fossil digs.
Kids will rush to climb the large structures with several winding slides known as The Treehouse, while the adults can plan for the an evening of family fun at The Downtown Container Park featuring free concerts, movies on the main stage plus lots of dining, shopping and live entertainment options.
Both kids and adults will love taking flight over the Fremont Street Experience with the only zipline in Downtown Las Vegas. Fly seated or horizontal like Superman. While there are no age requirements, flyers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and must meet minimum weight requirements.
Located on the edge of Summerlin, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is a beautiful place for families to enjoy the Nevada desert with 26 hiking trails from easy to strenuous plus a 13-mile scenic drive. Plus, Mt. Charleston, best known for its winter activities like snow skiing, is also a great spot for hiking boasting more than 60 miles of trails.
The Las Vegas desert provides the perfect place for families to get out of the city and strap into a dune buggy or an ATV. Just about a half hour drive north of Las Vegas is SunBuggy Fun Rentals which offers a variety of off-road experiences.
With hundreds of miles of paved and unpaved bike paths, it’s an understatement to say that Las Vegas and surrounding areas are cyclist-friendly. Riders can essentially circumvent the valley on two wheels. These urban trails are definitely worth exploring including the I-215 West Beltway Trail; the Flamingo Arroyo Trail, and the Harry Reid UPRR trail. If you don’t own bicycles, no problem! The RTC Bike Share system in Downtown Las Vegas offers classic and electric bikes for rent.
The stars are literally the stars of the show at Southern Nevada’s only public planetarium featuring a 66-seat theater and an Evans & Sutherland Digistar 5 high definition hemispheric video projection system. The kids will love watching the night sky come to virtual life.
Kids call this neighborhood park "dinosaur park" because of the huge dinosaur in the middle of it complete with a sand pit for digging for dinosaur bones. The park features a wonderful walking path circling a pond and cascading waterfall that is full of ducks, turtles and geese. In the summer months there is a small water park area where little ones can run through the water an cool off.
While North Las Vegas is chock full of outdoor skateparks ideal for family picnics, Area 702 Skatepark is an indoor facility - great for cooling off in the summer months while the kids heat things up.
