This year marks an exciting milestone for Tri Pointe Homes®: 15 years of building homes and communities across the Bay Area. Since launching the division in 2010, the team has built in 21 cities, created 48 communities, and closed more than 4,000 homes, with more to come! Over the past decade and a half, the Bay Area division has grown into a leader in a dynamic housing market, guided by a long-term vision for thoughtful planning, quality design, and meaningful community partnerships. Most importantly, these communities have become home to thousands of homeowners across the region.
The Early Days
When the Bay Area division launched in 2010, the housing market looked very different than it does today. Division President Jeff Frankel, the very first Bay Area employee, recalls, “Most builders were faced with difficult market conditions and underperforming communities and financials, which allowed us to enter the market with a fresh ledger, a longer-term outlook, and more optimism and confidence.” He continues to explain that starting during a challenging time ultimately helped shape the division’s mindset and those early lessons helped set them apart from other homebuilders.
