That’s why we’re especially excited to honor our 19 teams and 22 individual team members who were nominated at this year’s 28th Annual Eliant Homebuyers’ Choice Awards. The Eliant Homebuyers’ Choice Awards recognizes “excellence in homebuilding” and is “based on the values, opinions, and experiences of more than 190,000 recent homebuyers from 200 major new homebuilders across the U.S.” The event, which took place on March 16, 2023, in Aliso Viejo, CA, celebrated achievements across multiple job functions, including customer service, Design Studio, construction, and sales.

“In an extremely competitive industry, it’s nice to know that our efforts have been recognized in regard to top performance,” said Susie Lam, Tri Pointe Homes New Home Assistant in the Orange County-Los Angeles, CA, area. Lam, who was nominated in the High Response category in Sales, is passionate about the customer’s experience. Her favorite part: “Seeing customers’ happiness when they take ownership and see their new home,” explained Lam.

“It’s truly an honor. Just to be nominated puts me in the company of the best at what they do and that is really a good feeling. It shows that I am getting it right for the homebuyers I assist, the company I work for, and the co-workers I work besides,” said nominee Michael Carter, Tri Pointe Homes New Home Advisor in Las Vegas, NV. “For me it comes down to being of service from the start of the process of helping a homebuyer find the home that makes their life better to handing them their keys at the end of the process.”

Carter values the opportunity to work with both customers and homeowners, and the connection he makes on a one-on-one level. “There is a bond of trust, respect for the process for both sides, and working together for the common goal to make lives better with their new home.”

The Tri Pointe Homes construction team also plays a pivotal part in the homebuying journey. Nominee and first place Eliant Homebuyers’ Choice Awards winner Chris Tschumperlin, Tri Pointe Homes Sr. Construction Manager in Houston, TX, noted that working with homebuyers is by far one of the best parts of his role. “Going through the process with these homebuyers is so rewarding. There is no better feeling than handing them the keys to their new dream home.”

“The best part of working with new homebuyers is seeing the joy they feel while walking them through their new home for the first time,” echoed nominee Erig Landin, Construction Manager in the Las Vegas area.

Tri Pointe Homes Senior Customer Care Representative in the Las Vegas area, Grant Harworth, who won first place in his category, agreed that helping customers with the dream of homeownership is incredibly impactful. “I get to be a part of so many people’s lives and hear so many stories that inspire me.”

Nominee Jermain Acosta, Tri Pointe Homes Customer Care Representative in the Orange County area, is excited for the Eliant nomination, noting that working directly with homeowners, co-workers and trade partners is his favorite part of the role. “Being nominated for the Eliant Homebuyers’ Choice Award is such an important accolade for me because it acknowledges all the hard work and sacrifice that is put in behind the scenes, and shows that with hard work and determination anything is possible,” he explained.
