Introducing Tri Pointe Priority Groups

Over the last year, homebuyers have seen a shift in the housing market due to higher demand for homeownership. This active market has made the experience of buying a new home different than it was just a year ago. As a leader in the industry, Tri Pointe Homes® recognizes the need for a clearly defined path to purchase a home. As a result, we’ve developed priority groups to provide you with a streamlined buying experience at each neighborhood.

Steps to Success

One of the first steps in finding your new home is choosing the perfect neighborhood and joining the interest list to receive the latest updates and information. On our website, you can explore different neighborhoods, review interactive maps and floorplans, and take virtual walk-throughs of homes. You can also schedule a tour online to tour the model homes in-person or virtually with a New Home Advisor or visit us during open house hours and self-tour.

What's the difference between joining a neighborhood interest list and joining a priority group?

Joining the interest list is easy and we recommend that you sign up on the Tri Pointe Homes website to get the latest updates and information about the neighborhood you are interested in. Joining the priority group for that neighborhood is the next step to take to be eligible to purchase a home in an upcoming homesite release. Additionally, there may also be VIP events, held either online or in-person, where you can learn about a new neighborhood and in some cases have the opportunity to purchase a home before the public opening.

Priority Group Pre-Qualification

To join a neighborhood priority group, you will need to submit your online pre-qualification application with our affiliated mortgage company, Tri Pointe Connect®. You can submit a pre-qualification application for each neighborhood that you’re interested in, but be sure to use a different email address for each application. Submitting your online pre-qualification application should take no more than 10 minutes. After becoming a member of the priority group, a New Home Loan Consultant will reach out to you to complete the pre-qualification process prior to your opportunity to purchase a home at the neighborhood. Once you receive a positive pre-qualification letter from Tri Pointe Connect, you’re eligible to purchase a home at that neighborhood. Your place in the neighborhood priority group is based on multiple factors, including the date and time of your submission of a completed online pre-qualification application and whether you are a contingent or non-contingent customer.

Prepare for your Appointment

Next, a New Home Specialist or New Home Advisor will reach out to you based on your place in the priority group to schedule an in-person appointment where you’ll select your homesite and complete your purchase agreement. Your New Home Advisor will provide you with information about what you should bring with you to the appointment and answer any questions you have. You may also choose to defer your purchase to a future homesite release without losing your place in the priority group.

Happy Homebuyers

As part of our commitment to building homes that are life-changing by design™, we developed neighborhood priority groups to help streamline the process of buying your dream home. Once you purchase your home, our team of experts will work with you throughout the home personalization, construction and closing process. “I have nothing but great praise on the team as a whole. From sales, escrow, loans, constructions, and customer care, the buying experience was a lot smoother than expected. I would definitely recommend my friends and family to the Tri Pointe team,” says a current Tri Pointe Homes homeowner.
