During the past few months, Tri Pointe Homes’ Las Vegas headquarters has resembled the North Pole. Shiny new bicycles and colorful toys were piled high. The air hummed with holiday cheer. There was even a hint of magic.

Since the start of fall, Santa’s helpers all over the Las Vegas Valley have been working hard to make this season extra bright for those in need. Tri Pointe Homes joined forces with 98.5 KLUC Chet Buchanan Show for the 23rd annual Toy Drive benefiting HELP of Southern Nevada. Held every December, the KLUC toy drive collects toys, bicycles and monetary gifts to support a variety of Nevada charities through HELP of Southern Nevada.

This year, Tri Pointe Homes employees, homeowners and trade partners collected 218 new bicycles and over 400 toys for the annual Toy Drive. In addition, the Tri Pointe Homes Las Vegas Division also donated $10,000, which they presented by check to HELP of Southern Nevada on Day 1 of the annual Toy Drive. The company also made it easy for area residents to participate, opening its New Home Galleries as convenient donation sites across the city.

Once again, the 98.5 Chet Buchanan Show Toy Drive benefiting HELP of Southern Nevada exceeded expectations. In an incredible display of generosity, city residents and businesses donated $651,016 in cash and gift cards. The drive also collected enough toys to fill 42 semitrucks to the brim plus another 7,926 new bikes to create the annual “sea of bikes” at the donation site. That’s a whole lot of holiday cheer!

Each day of the toy drive, Tri Pointe Homes was onsite with KLUC and morning show host Chet Buchanan. Team members volunteered at the homebuilder’s “Welcome Home”, greeting Las Vegas residents and thanking them for their generosity. Tri Pointe Homes volunteers were kept busy 12 straight days unloading donations of toys and bikes.

The outpouring of community support for the toy drive will allow HELP of Southern Nevada to spread joy and hope to thousands of local families and children. The organization serves families who would otherwise go without.

Tri Pointe Homes Las Vegas has been participating in annual toy drives for more than two decades and decided summer of 2021 to adopt this toy drive as its primary charitable initiative. The toy drive reflects Tri Pointe Homes’ core values by spreading goodwill. It’s also a natural fit given the company’s deep ties to the community. Tri Pointe Homes is one of Southern Nevada’s leading homebuilders with a nearly 70-year legacy and tens of thousands of homes built throughout the valley.
