Unboxing Longmont’s local discoveries
Things to-do in Longmont
The true spirit of Colorado thrives in Longmont. From its energetic art and music scene to its growing collection of unique restaurants and craft breweries to its countless outdoor recreational activities, you’ll never run out of new things to discover here. It’s what makes Longmont such a great place to live – because no matter what you’re into, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Our Tri Pointe Homes® team in Colorado, created a top-five list of our favorite local attractions in Longmont. The only question is, which one will you try first?
Second Saturday Creative Crawl
Longmont’s creative community is flourishing. Its wildly popular event, Second Saturday Creative Crawl, showcases local artists and makers, whose work ranges from “anything made of the hand or mind.” Live music, shopping and craft food and drinks top off this experience, making it a monthly must-see

Ron Stewart Preserve at Rabbit Mountain
You’ll want to hop over to this 5,000-acre public park for scenic hikes and incredible views of the Rocky Mountains and Great Plains. And if Rabbit Mountain’s seasonal wildflowers don’t steal your heart, maybe this will: The park was named for its likeness to a sleeping bunny. Aww.
The Art of Cheese
Move over, sourdough starters. Cheese is the bees’ knees. With live and on-demand classes available, there are plenty of opportunities to hone your cheese-making skills at the local The Art of Cheese, whether you’re a beginner or a Big Cheese. Feta, anyone?

Union Reservoir
What do you do with a 736-acre body of water? Paddleboarding, fishing, kayaking, and swimming, to start! Union Reservoir is the perfect spot to make a splash under the sun, with plenty of space for picnicking and even a dog beach/off-leash area for your furry companion.
The Roost
There’s a good chance you’ve worked up an appetite after a long day of exploring, so head over to The Roost, a “craft casual” American restaurant and bar, for locally sourced plates that whet every palate – from short rib tacos to candied bacon sliders. Plus, ten percent of The Roost’s profits and merch helps fund adoptions, making it a feel-good choice all around.

There’s no doubt that Longmont is a thriving place to be – and a great place to call home. Sugar Mill Village, a new community of thoughtfully designed paired homes by Tri Pointe Homes, offers a prime location in the heart of this great city, making everyday explorations come easy.
