There’s something special happening at Tri Pointe Homes® Washington’s communities.

It’s not just the stunning homes or beautiful Pacific Northwest surroundings. It’s the kind of place where new beginnings and lifelong friendships go hand-in-hand. Across our communities we are welcoming home friends who are becoming neighbors.

At one of our communities in Washington state, six sets of close friends are now calling the community home. We had the pleasure of speaking with one of these dynamic duos, Shivani and Anirudh, and their best friends Sri Ram Krishna and Mrudula, to learn how their shared dream of homeownership turned into something even more meaningful: a place where longtime friends and new neighbors alike have built lasting friendships that make this community truly special.

It Started with One Dream, Two People, and a Beautiful Home

Shivani, a preschool teacher, and her husband Anirudh, a software engineer, were the first in their group of friends to discover the Tri Pointe Homes community in Washington.

“We had been looking for a place that felt like home for a long time,” said Shivani. “When we came across this community, everything just seemed to click. The homes were beautiful, the neighborhood felt warm and inviting, and it had the balance of comfort and convenience we were searching for.”

Thanks to the welcoming support of the Tri Pointe team, who Shivani says “patiently guided us through the process and made sure we felt confident in our decision”, the couple found their perfect home and moved in in 2025.

But they didn’t stop there.

Friends Who Move Together, Stay Together

Not long after settling in, Shivani and Anirudh invited their closest friends to visit their new neighborhood.

“When Ram and Mrudula visited us and saw the community for themselves, the moment we walked in, it just clicked. They immediately felt the same connection we did,” Shivani shared.

Ram, also a software engineer, and Mrudula, a fellow preschool teacher, didn’t hesitate. They closed on their home and moved in shortly after.

“Knowing that their closest friends had already bought a home here made their decision even easier,” Shivani added. “It made all of us so happy to think about living just steps away from each other.”

More Than Neighbors: A Chosen Family

Shivani and Anirudh have known Ram for about 10 years, and Shivani and Mrudula have shared a strong friendship for over three. For them, this move wasn’t just about new homes, it was about building a shared future.

“We’re best friends, but it feels more like family,” said Shivani. “Living so close to our best friends makes everyday life more special, we share meals, celebrate together, and even play pickleball as a group!”

And they're not the only ones. Five other friend-pairs have also chosen to call this new Tri Pointe community home, turning close friendships into a welcoming network that now extends throughout the neighborhood.

But that’s not the only community seeing this growing trend. Many of our communities across the greater Puget Sound region are welcoming friends home where they are sharing in this life-changing moment and starting their next chapter in home ownership together.

Bringing new meaning to a Close Family

It doesn’t just start and stop with friends buying in the same neighborhood. Tri Pointe Homes is also seeing a growing number of family members choosing to live closer together. In a recent Poulsbo community, we welcomed a couple who loved their new home so much that they referred their daughter, who then purchased a home with her husband right across the street. And this isn’t an isolated case; more and more families are touring our communities with the hope of finding homes where they can plant roots together. Even better, once they move in, these families often discover new friendships with neighbors, expanding their connections and creating a welcoming, extended community that feels like family.
